Ink

Since 2014, I am exploring the power of black and white contrast. Through the invention of a form, I call “free pixels”. Through this form I seek the essence of things, the atom that triggers recognition of form.

I  started in 2014, working on black and white because my studio at this time had no electricity nor water…The only chance to go on working, was to use the contrast of dark on nude paper.

I found some interesting sketches made recently. They were in black, twenty scribbles in a small notebook I did during a car trip. I have been using the move of the suspension car to let my hand shacked. The idea was to locate my intention between mastering and letting go.

Since then, I can’t stop exploring this gap.
